This letter serves as a report on JIA Jijun’s death in Japan.

JIA Jijun, male, was born in Wei Village, Yuanshi County, Hebei Province. He was captured by Japanese army on October 10, 1944, shipped to Japan through Tanggu port after connecting to Yuanshi County and Shijiazhuang South Military Camp. He was forced to work as a coal laborer at Mitsui Rikubetsu coal mine in Hokkaido. He worked and lived as a slave, and died of exhaustion at the coal mine in Japan. His death has made his family live in unbearable misery. Therefore, his family demand a compensation of more than 30 thousand U.S. dollars.
